The Liverpool Walker Art Gallery is an important place in my life, I used to sag school when I was a kid and go there and look at the beautiful paintings and it's brilliant to go back as an adult and put my art on display. I felt like I was playing in my front room to my guests, something I learned as a teenager from the late great Liverpool singer songwriter Peter McGovern, writer of 'In My Liverpool Home'. Peter told me to imagine each gig was a party in my own front room and entertain the audience as tough they were my guests, it was his way of helping me to deal with nerves when I did a gig.
